Our team first formed in 2001, bonded together by a belief that youth ministries can be effective when built on the methods Jesus used to make disciples.
21 years later we are providing students across the UK with a BA (Hons) in Theology, Mission and Ministry, with a specialism in Youth Work alongside our partners, ForMission College, as their Youth Ministry Campus. The degree itself is accredited by Newman University, Birmingham.
Our degree is based around distance learning. Students will be placed within a ministry placement. This could be within a church, youth project, or other faith based organisation. Ideally students will already be doing some level of volunteering with their placement. However, if necessary, Reign Ministries can connect you with a placement in need of a student elsewhere in the UK.

During your time with us, we aim to facilitate your growth in the following five areas of formation:
We have six residential teaching weeks a year, or, ‘conferences’. These give you the opportunity to gather with students and leaders from across the UK.
It is in these weeks that you will receive all the teaching for your modules. Lectures are facilitated by highly trained and experienced staff, tailored towards applying your learning to your ministry practice.
The theology degree is designed so that all the teaching that students receive is relevant and applicable within their setting. It further ensures the training fits a real world scenario, and doesn’t come from a classroom that has lost touch with the outside world.
Students have access to EBSCO, an electronic library that we are able to use through our degree provider ForMission. Here you can find over 9,000 e-Books, some of which are our core texts, and many academic journals. On top of this, students have access to select sections of key texts. These are uploaded to Moodle, our Virtual Learning Environment area, and ensure that students have plenty of resources for their study.
No week in ministry is the same as another, but typically you can expect to do:
We aim for our theology degree to cover a broad range of subjects to suitably equip our students for a life of ministry. Throughout the three year degree students can expect to complete modules from Introduction to the Bible to Missional Leadership in Youth Ministry, and lots more in between!
