We Are Built For Community

Many of our students say that one of their favourite aspects of their experience with us is the community that they become a part of when they study with us. With the current changes to the degree we are determined to maintain this aspect of our DNA.

We recognise that this could be tricky – moving from 6 residentials a year to only 2… Meeting online for weekly facilitations… Covid-19 showed us that online community is only a glimpse of true community. Therefore, we have chosen to not offer a completely online experience. We are excited to introduce Ministry Hubs to the degree experience. Through the birth of these Hubs, our vision is that students will engage in this ‘life-together’ community, more so even than if they were gathering just 6 times a year.

What is a Ministry Hub?

Reign 0074

Our Ministry Hubs will be made up of several Churches and organisations within different locations. Some Hubs may be connected through location, some through Church denomination. Students will complete their ministry hours and be based at a church or organisation within one of the Hubs. We would love to see students working together across churches. To see them bringing young people and communities together as they create a culture of discipleship.

To be part of a Hub, some students may have to relocate to be based at a church within the Hub.  Reign Ministries and the Hub leader will provide support in finding a suitable placement and place to live for those students.  Other students may already live in the Hub area and/or be connected to the Hub organisation.

The Hub Leader will be the main source of support for those within Ministry Hubs. This will be in the form of cluster training sessions, prayer, coaching and week-to-week community. Another by-product of the Hub will be opportunities for students to lead and run experiences for their young people together.  Our desire is that community amongst the students and hub leaders will grow organically alongside cluster and ministry.

If you have ever had the experience of being part of a Christian gap year, you will know the joy of living, working and ministering together with a group of likeminded people. We want to facilitate this experience for our students as they live and work together with their peers.

“We want the degree programme to be a place where you will be loved, cared for, and supported. Where you are challenged and encouraged as you earn a degree in the context of a local youth ministry setting. We aim to create an environment and culture that cultivates family.”

What’s Next For You?

Are you in a place where your gap year is coming to an end? Are you unsure what community looks like for you in what the Lord has next? Then maybe you could consider studying with Reign Ministries!

We want the degree programme to be a place where you will be loved, cared for, and supported. Where you are challenged and encouraged as you earn a degree in the context of a local youth ministry setting. We aim to create an environment and culture that cultivates family. You will hopefully meet and learn alongside those who will become family and friends that will last a lifetime!

Students repeatedly say that their highlight of studying with Reign Ministries is being part of a community where they are supported and cared for. This could be your learning environment for the next three years. We would love it if you would come and be a part of it! Click below to find out more!
