First day back to work, God sets Adam and Eve a rule. Just one. “Eat the organic groceries off any of the million trees, except the tree of knowing the difference between good and evil. Eat from that one and you die.”
But the snake – the Undisputed King of Sly – does some word twisting and dupes them into the costliest snack in history.
One munch and enter mess. Stage Right
Footnote; mess, twisted mess. Selfish mess. Deceitful mess. MESS!
God tells them, “Look, here comes death! Strolling in. No more heaven on earth. There’ll be pain. There’ll be crying. There’ll be Grieving. You two: Out of this garden now.” So death’s in charge. And top of the human wish list is… Liberation. But When? How? Who?
8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
