Join us in the February half term as we work alongside OM Moldova and support their ministry of kids’ clubs, visiting local church youth groups, distributing food parcels to families in need. We’ll serve, learn and share as a team, sharing our lives and what God has done through us, and learning more of what He has in store for our future!
Dates: 14 – 22 February 2020
Costs: From £650
Sometimes it can be hard to understand how God loves people of all races, ages, genders and nationalities if we only meet people in our town or village. This trip will help you see what a difference you can make to others by serving them and expecting nothing in return. You will also make new friends, learn about a new culture and grow in your relationship with God.
A trip starts in the UK when the team gathers to pray and prepare, before flying to Chisnau in Moldova. The team will meet their host(s) who are local church pastors, who will look after the team each day. There will be opportunities to read your Bible and reflect on what God is showing you each day, to serve local people trapped by poverty, and to lead games and activities with local children.
The cost of the trip includes international airfare, accommodation, ministry supplies, team food, and the Training Weekend. There may be some additional costs such as pocket money, obtaining a passport, and buying any extra items like a rucksack or a warm jacket.
We will send you all the materials and information you need to raise support. We will train and coach you through the process. We also will work with your youth leader to help you develop strategic ways to raise the money as a group.
Your safety is very important to us, so we will work hard to reduce all major risks. We want you to have an enjoyable time and feel relaxed, not anxious about your safety. We put together risk assessments and regularly revisit any changes we can implement. We work closely with our Moldovan hosts and will always be accompanied by 1 or 2 church leaders and translators. We have a suitable travel insurance policy, and experienced team leaders. We have been running trips to Eastern Europe since 2004, so have developed a lot of experience leading UK teams in these settings.
We will supply you with a contact number for one of our staff members who will remain in the UK. They will then be able to contact the team and know where they are at any point. The team will keep posting on our social media platforms whilst away so family and friends can follow their progress and hear the stories of their adventure.
