Home church can become your placement

Brad is from Edinburgh and graduated from the degree course in 2016. Throughout his time on the course he would share his passion for his home country and ministry. It was stirring and contagious and it often seemed like bagpipes would start playing in my ears when he spoke about his heart for his city.

At Reign Ministries we believe that passion for your home and local ministry is amazing and we have structured the degree course to leverage that passion.

Students work toward their BA in Theology and Mission for three years. While we believe that the time they spend in the classroom is important, in reality the local ministry placement that each student engages in teaches them so much more than they can gain from a lecture.

Choosing to serve in a place they care about and have a history with has been a key factor in many of our students deciding to study on the degree course. Jordan, a year one student said this:

“I have been involved with Exodus for a number of years so the idea of continuing to do the ministry that I am passionate about and that being integrated into the course is amazing.”

Another benefit of serving locally while studying with us is that it can make the transition to university life less daunting.  Starting a degree course is a big life change. Jordan shared that by staying at home and working with Exodus, he was able to focus on one major change at a time.  He felt that the stability and the already established rhythms of life and ministry have led to a great transition into his first year on the course.
