Our Reign Ministries team has adjusted quite significantly recently. We are very sad to say goodbye to three special team members! Yet we are incorporating four hubs (and leaders) into our family from September.
By formally establishing four training hubs, we are excited to work more closely with youth leaders and organisations operating in local ministry and committed to training and discipling young leaders. Each hub will have a leader or two that will become part of the extended Reign Ministries team, such as Joel in Gorebridge (Midlothian) and Ali in Witney (Oxfordshire). We will also have hubs in Cambridge and Belfast, partnering with local ministries.
The ability of our team to offer better support to students and church leaders in their local ministry setting has just grown exponentially!
With this exciting new growth, we are sad to see some long term staff leave, even if we’re also thrilled for what they’re doing next.
Alysen is leaving us after 15 faithful years of service. Alysen has impacted students and staff alike and will be terribly missed by all! God has called her back into full time local ministry with a church in Birmingham and we are excited to see how God blesses others through her new role. She has held many roles with us over the years, but recently led our People Care team, was part of our Exec leadership and was the Head of HR, not easy shoes to fill! Conferences won’t be the same without her hugs!
Sam has been a staple team member for the last 6 years, joining the team after successfully completing the degree with us! After working in our gap year and internship teams, he was recently helping to manage our office property and connect us with our donors and supporters. Sam has now moved into a role with an Oxfordshire charity that enables him to invest in and coach vulnerable young people each and every day. We know that his skills and personality will thrive in this new role and that he will bless many young people through his new work. The Reign team will miss Sam’s joking and fun; you lifted every meeting Sam. We are very grateful for the many worship sessions that he led during our conferences.
Claire has made the choice to take time to invest in the growing family God has blessed her and Ben with. Claire has been with the Reign team for 7 years, also joining the team following on from successfully completing her studying with us at Reign. She started out as a young person in one of the local youth groups, did our gap year programme before completing the degree and joining the staff team. To complete the circle, she supported and then led our gap year programme before starting to explore ways we could better connect with our graduates. Claire’s care and faithful service will be greatly missed by us all. We will especially miss her and her family at conferences!
