At Reign Ministries we put a strong focus on discipleship. We believe that discipling a young person begins and ends with connecting with, and building a strong relational foundation with them.
But what happens when a pandemic hits, the world shuts down, and we’re not able to meet with those young people? Over the past two years, youth workers across the globe have been trying to figure out this question.
One of the aims of our Theology Degree is to provide adaptable discipleship training that can be used whatever the circumstance.
Our team mate Hannah talked to Friend-Of-Reign, Tim, to find out what happened when he moved to a new youth ministry only weeks before the pandemic hit. Watch to the end for a floofy surprise!
Tim found that by trying to adapt the way he built relationships with young people, they were able to connect with more than he could have imagined.
We may not have all the answers to how to do youth work during a pandemic. But we believe that relational discipleship is a good place to start.
