Check out the Greenhouse experience. It is the perfect training opportunity for those exploring for the first time a life of ministry.

The Greenhouse journey begins with questions…

  • Are you a person that has a desire to make an impact on the world around you?
  • If you could have a season to grow deep in your faith in God, would you take it?
  • Do have a passion to see teenagers experience and trust the love of Jesus?
  • What dreams has God placed in your heart? How can we explore those with you?
  • Are you looking for an experience to live missionally, a life that is sent out?
  • How would 10 months of learning through experience, conversation, and community impact you life?
  • What if you had the chance to do church in a fresh way?

The Greenhouse journey requires bravery…

    • Each day you will be encouraged to spend intentional time with God.
    • Every week you will have many opportunities engage with British teenage culture.
    • You will be challenged to help shape the church into a relevant community.
    • You will be taught how to personally engage discipleship with teenagers.
    • Four trips will stretch you beyond your comfort zone.
    • As the year progresses you will be challenged to respond to how you will live out your identity in Christ.

The Greenhouse journey is to be walked with others…

      • You will gather three times a week with other Greenhouse participants in a “huddle”, a specific time of growth.
      • You will be living in community with either a British host family or with fellow participants.
      • You will be participating with a local youth team on a daily basis.
      • You will attend six, week-long conferences to fellowship with national and international university students that are currently doing and being local mission.
      • You will have a personal mentor who will encourage you in your faith, your relationships, and ministry development.
      • You will have the Reign Ministries UK family to support and encourage you through this journey.

The Greenhouse journey can lead to an opportunity of…

    • A Bachelors in Theology Hons Mission, a three-year experience offered through Springdale College: Together in Mission and validated by the University of Middlesex.
    • Future missional opportunities with Reign Ministries UK as self funded staff.
    • Possible placement with a local existing ministry.

We conduct Greenhouse in two locations. During your interview process we will determine your placement.

Bicester (2 hours north of London)

If you are living with the team in Bicester you will be sharing a 4 bedroom flat above the Reign Ministries offices with the rest of the Greenhouse team and potentially Reign Ministries’ staff members.

London

If you are living with the team in London you will be either sharing with other team members or you will be living with a family in the church.

We want you to be as freed up as possible to grow and do ministry during this time so your room, board, and pocket money will be provided for you.

What does an average week look like?

While there is nothing average about your potential experience most weeks will involve the following:

  • Three mornings of study time as a group where you will be learning about life and ministry as Jesus modelled it.
  • You will be spending time working with young people (eg. lunch clubs, after school groups, coffee shop ministry).
  • There will also be times in the week where you will prepare for the lessons/groups  that you will lead.
  • There will be times for you to do personal study focused on growing your relationship with God and your understanding of his strategy for ministry.
  • There will also be times where you participate in the local church in the community.
  • Oh yes there will also be times to laugh as well!

Can I have family and friends visit me?

Yes.  You may be able to house a friend with you for a couple days in your accommodation.  If multiple visitors are coming for more than a couple days, you are responsible for their accommodation.

Can I take additional holiday time?

You can arrange 1-2 weeks of pre-approved holiday time outside of the session breaks.
