This is the third part of a three part series called Establishing Community. Read the first or second part of the series. We’ve been thinking about the concept that “who we are (our identity) drives what we do (our actions).” We’ve been asking the question, “How do you establish an authentic, gospel-centered community? How do [...] Read more »

How do you establish an authentic loving community? This is a foundational question in many churches today. I believe the answer is quite simple, but is easier said than done. Our church, The Crowded House, has a common phrase that says, “Who we are (our identity) drives what we do (our actions).” Often times we [...] Read more »

Crowded House
This autumn we shifted our 3 Gospel Communities around, with goals of being able to better grow, celebrate, worship, serve, and care for each other. The group we lead is made up of 4 families, 2 of which are new to our community, along with a few young people and 11 children — truly a [...] Read more »

I’ve always liked a good meal.  My friends call me a ‘foodie.’  In fact, I run, so I can eat what I want to eat.  I know my way around the kitchen, partly because as a boy, I would ask my mom if we could have a certain food we’d had at a restaurant or [...] Read more »

In the week leading up to Easter, The Crowded House (a local church expression partnered with Reign Ministries in Bicester) provided an opportunity for our community to discover the last earthly days of Jesus using scriptures’ historical account, art, imagination and interaction. It’s our “version”of Stations of the Cross (which is what we’re calling it). [...] Read more »

The Transformation Continues
by Kyle McKinnon 2011/02/16 » Add the first comment.

We are in the second phase of the first floor renovation and it is pretty exciting. Thanks to the help of these two groups (Mcnallys and Crowded Friends), we have the foundation ready for the remaining two bedrooms and bathroom to be completed in the coming 2 weeks. It is amazing how much mess building work can create. The rubble and mess that these people moved was immense and we are so thankful. Pictures and an update will be following once the professionals are done.

The amazing part of living by faith is getting to watch God do things you could never ask or imagine.   We are hanging onto God’s coattails as he wows us with his provision for the transformation of the Moto Shop into a building that can be used for ministry. Here’s just a few of the [...] Read more »
