I agree with much of what you&#039;ve said about missional communities/churches needing to recognise the importance of the whole family in the discipleship of young people. Sadly, much youth ministry within churches tends to slice off teens from their Christian parents and attempts to minister to them separately instead of engaging with the parents and giving them the skills and tools to disciple their own children.

The Bible tells us that parents have a crucial responsibility to disciple their own children. (Deut 6: 4-7) Yet we have so little help from within our churches as to how to carry out this Biblical imperative.</description>
