Welcome Eric Duey

Most of the ICY-UK team met Eric last spring when he visited conference and stayed with Scott and Heidi Goossen in Upper Heyford for two weeks.  We are really excited that Eric is flying in this weekend to start a three year placement with Wallington Baptist Church in London.

Here is a little information about Eric in his words:   “I love God. He is who I strive to live for, even though that is not always an easy task. I love my family. They have been there for me through the thick of it. I have a passion for ministry and working with youth. When I am given the opportunity to do so it is usually the highlight of my week. I also have a passion for sports of all kind. My idea of relaxing is playing catch or throwing a Frisbee around.I really enjoy good times with friends. It will be difficult to leave them back in the states but I am a joyful, enthusiastic person who loves meeting new people. I enjoy being outside enjoying God’s creation, and any excuse to sit around a bonfire is always a good one. On the other hand I also enjoy playing video games and watching movies. I enjoy music of almost every scope from classical and choral music to classic rock and alternative.”

We are excited to see how God is going to work in Eric’s life and to impact the young people of Wallington in the coming years.
