I loved this article. I read it a couple months ago when Mark Hoober had a link to it on his facebook page. I thought it was practical, loving and wonderful idea.

The article kept coming back to my mind. So, this month, I decided to apply it to my life. I baked my first cake for my neighbor this week for her birthday. My goal is to bake a birthday cake (or something) for every lady in my neighborhood book club to let them know they are worth my time and love.

Thanks for the inspiring article! God used it to make a little change in my neighborhood.

Blessings, Linda Hamilton

Hello

I just came across this page (Cake Baking 101) and I was really amazed at reading about Aysen's underlying cake baking motives, to value people by giving of her skills. It's through those acts that people catch a glimpse of love and start to get curious about the Saviour behind it all.

I am just writing in because I have been on a similar journey. I moved to the UK from the USA in 2008 and have started baking (out of nowhere) for neighbours, colleagues, needy people, for a charity that caters for women trying to exit prostitution, for friends, etc. It's my way of showing kindness and hopefully, Jesus, to people who need to be loved and valued. So far, it's been really successful.

Best wishes for all your compassionate cakes. :-)

God bless,
Jen
