The Pavilion Christian Community

The Pavilion Christian Community is a church passionate about the community, God’s heart for people, and discipleship. Fourteen years ago the community centre that the church had been meeting out of and using as a place for mission was offered to the church to develop and run. Since then, the Pavilion has been a place where we’ve seen the kingdom grow and flourish. A community playground and café was built, and the user groups in the midst of this have continued to flourish.

Underpinning the community centre and its mission is the church. The church has been in a stage of growth the last few years – with more people entering our doors for the first time, and with more favour and grace being shown by the community than ever before. Alysen’s role in the midst of this is to enable discipleship and growth in the midst of all that’s happening. Whether it’s discipling new Christians, serving in the café, or challenging those who have been around for years: Alysen gets a thrill from seeing growth and development.
