About Me

I am married to Joy Stevens. We got to know each other through the EuroQuest mission trip in 1997.

I grew up in the States in a Christian family who was committed to God and the church. My teenage dreams were to take over my father’s manufacturing business. After starting to study engineering at university, God moved in my life and led me to train for a lifetime of working with teenagers. I went on two mission trips with Royal Servants before finishing Cedarville University with a Bachelors’ in Youth Ministry. While cutting my teeth in ministry at a church with a great pastoral team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin I finished my Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. In 2003 Joy and I moved to England and have been here ever since helping to reach and disciple teenagers.

One of the most important and basic skills of personal evangelism is the ability to turn normal conversations into spiritual ones–ones that lead to talking about a person’s background, beliefs and experiences with God.  Some people are naturally better at this than others, but it is a skill that can be developed over time as well.  [...] Read more »

This will allow us to start heating some of these spaces for office use during the winter months. It has been fun to see [...] Read more »

We are just weeks away from our first GreenHouse official start date! It’s hard to believe the full GH team will all be here by the first few [...] Read more »

This is a continuation of Darin’s article from last week. What is my picture of a great volunteer? If it’s someone in their 20’s with a great haircut and maybe even a piercing or tattoo or two, think again.  The adult leaders who had the biggest impact in my life were in their 40’s, 50’s [...] Read more »

“How can we find leaders to help with our ministry?” Whenever I talk with other youth ministers and they share their biggest needs, ‘more leaders’ usually ranks first or second. I was lamenting the difficulty of finding quality leaders with a ministry friend this past week and he said, “Ok, tell me about your current [...] Read more »
